Restaurants in Cowes, we are spoilt for choice!

We are very lucky in Cowes, there are lots of great places to eat and drink! It’s definitely worth booking ahead as they’re either very busy or quite tiny, either way they can get booked up quickly. Here we’ve put together a list of our favourites, most of them have menus on their websites to peruse…   These 2 are really popular with a bit of a buzz about them at the moment: The Grill  www.thegrillcowes.co.uk  see our review Coast www.thecoastbar.co.uk  see our review   Continue reading →

Delicious home made jams from The Fruit Bowl, Newchurch

Made by Barbara and Alistair Jupe, The Fruit Bowl jams are simply delicious. Raspberry & Loganberry, Gooseberry & Elderflower and Tayberry & Redcurrant are just a few of their flavours (and my favourites I might add). They are so good, that whatever fruits they have in season, and therefore jams, we buy in to offer our lovely guests. Absolutely nothing nasty in them – no preservatives used in making the jams and no insecticides used to grow their fruit, just lovingly home made fruity goodness. Continue reading →

Run by Sharon McNally, who kindly delivers to us personally, the Orchard boasts over 4,000 apple trees, growing 20 different kinds of apple. They are Continue reading →
