We are just a 7/8 min walk up the hill from the middle of Cowes - no need to book your ferry just turn up and get the next one.

If you have bags then there is a taxi rank right outside the terminal or another one outside M&S

Red Funnel Car Ferry – Use the Chain Ferry from East Cowes

Most Islanders call the Cowes Chain Ferry the “Floating Bridge” and for good reason. It provides a vital foot passenger and vehicle link across the River Medina between Cowes and East Cowes with an excellent regular service all year round.

The Chain Ferry operates in both directions from 0500 onwards on Mondays to Saturdays and from 0635 onwards on Sundays.

There are regular crossings at approximately 10-15 minute intervals from each side of the River Medina which continue until after midnight daily

Red funnel Car Ferry – drive round From East Cowes

If you are travelling with Red Funnel by car then you will come into East Cowes and we are just a short hop over the river from there.

To drive to us there are two options:

- Use the Chain Ferry or Floating Bridge that runs between East and West Cowes for £2.20; it runs continuous crossings throughout the day (05:05 - 00:20)

- Drive to Cowes via Newport which takes about 20/25 minutes.

If you want to come over through Lymington then you can use Wightlinks Car Ferry - it takes about 25 to 30 mins to drive to us.
