This is such fun, you have to try it!

The Island often escapes the worst effects of low pressure systems and has a large number of flyable days. Regular summer sea-breezes provide smooth flying conditions that are great for quick and easy learning of basic paragliding skills.

There are 15 flying sites on the Island which cater for all wind directions as well as a good variety of terrain with cliff sites, thermal ridges, a challenging 15km cliff run and the possibility of flying sea thermals as well as land based thermals.

There are two paragliding schools on the Isle of Wight, both run by highly qualified professional instructors and offering a variety of courses.

Obviously paragliding is weather dependant so ask about cancellations.

Watch Andrea take flight!
