So that was Cowes Week 2013!  Great to host so many nationalities in one house; Dutch, Swiss, Slovakian, Canadian and Brits! Huge congrats to Slovakian team First Sailing who came first in their class! We like to think it was our fab breakfasts that helped them win! We had a fabulous week, and we hope you all did too! See you again next year 🙂 Phew, detox time…… Caledon Guest House

Say It With Brownies – Mmmmmm just finishing off a wonderful box of freshly baked hand made chunky fudge and white chocolate chip brownies from Island based, they are just divine, the packaging is really lovely and they deliver anywhere – the perfect gift for a chocoholic like me! Thanks Mark and Happy Valentine’s Day for yesterday! oops! xxx The Caledon Guest

Ventnor is one of our favourite places on the Island. Kids loved the playground and feeding the fish. Walk along the coastal path to Ventnor beach with breathtaking sea views, passing through the idyllic Steephill Cove – a real gem of a place. Minghella ice cream on the esplanade and a paddle in the sea. One great day out, thank you Continue reading →

I often go for a run with our dog Charlie along here, but hadn’t really considered recommending it before now, so definitely one to Continue reading →

Just how fab did our lovely Queen look yesterday? She came to see us in Cowes on what was the last day of her Jubilee tour. Cowes was absolutely buzzing, amazing weather and sooo many people turned up waving their flags, it was a fantastic day to be part of, definitely one to remember 🙂 P.S. Thanks to Jo for the close up pic of the queen, we didn’t get quite that close! The Caledon Guest

Clean wellies!! Thank you, thank you lovely guests for helping to spare our house from all the Festival mud! Much appreciated 🙂 A famous fry up to say thanks? Hope you all had fun last night, we did! Pearl Jam this evening, whoop! The Caledon Guest
