Cycling on the Isle of Wight

As a guest recently pointed out, a great way to get directly from Cowes to Newport is the cycle path, a flat 4 mile track that starts just up the road from The Caledon. It follows the old railway track and is really pretty in places looking out over the River Medina and completely avoids the traffic on the Newport Road. Congratulations to Mark, Rob and Joe on cycling 100km round the Island yesterday! The Isle of Wight Randonnee had record numbers of cyclists this year, over 2500 taking part.
