Bookings must be reserved by valid credit/debit card.
Non-refundable bookings – payment will be taken on the day of booking.
Bookings to arrive within 7 days – full payment will be taken on the day of booking.
Cancellations – during the Covid-19 crisis we have amended some of our cancellation policies to just 1 day notice required for cancellation. Please check your booking confirmation policy at the time of booking.
Bookings cancelled or amended 8 or more days in advance of your arrival date – there will be no charge.
Bookings cancelled or amended less than 8 days in advance of your arrival are non refundable.
There are no refunds given in the case of early departure.
Non-refundable bookings are not refundable and not amendable in length of stay or date of arrival.
Cancellation policy varies for events such as Cowes Week and group bookings (bookings of more than 4 rooms), please ask at the time of booking. A 25% non refundable deposit as a minimum and the remaining due 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Check Out time is 10:30am; a late checkout is available by arrangement – book it online or just ask when you are here.
The Caledon is a smoke free house – Should you choose to ignore this policy, you will be asked to leave and charged in full for your booking plus an additional £100 for specialist cleaning to your room. Payment will be taken from the card used to secure the room/s.
Damage to The Caledon, whether reported or not will be charged using the card details given to secure the booking. Unfortunately this includes replacement mattress costs for bed wetting. Please ask for waterproof mattress protector if you are in any doubt.
Guest vehicles are parked on the premises at the owner’s risk. We cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft. Check out our parking guide
We are more than happy to have chiildren age 6 and over’s stay with us – they do need their own beds so book a triple room for 2 adults and 1 child or we have a double and a twin room opposite each other for a family of 4. If you are a bigger family then just give us a call and we will see what room combination works best for you.
Although we appreciate our animal friends, pets are not allowed at The Caledon. Sorry! Guide dogs only.
When you book on our website, we may collect the personal information you input when you are booking. This information may consist of: name, address, phone number, address, email address, credit card details and details of the room that you have booked. We use this information in a number of ways:
- to ensure the smooth booking and arrival process, to ensure you get the room you want on the days you want.
- to occasionally contact you, should we have any offers or information related to rooms you have previously booked with us
Our customer’s privacy is of the utmost importance to us, and we will never release your details to third party organisations for the purpose of marketing or communications.
Your contact details may be shared with NHS Test and Trace if required.
Once checked in we will occasionally contact you via email or mail about The Caledon rooms and services that we believe would be of interest and benefit to you, based on your previous activity on our website. The Caledon operates a positive OPT IN option for you to receive any marketing information from us. If you would prefer not to receive this information in the future, you can OPT OUT at any time by visiting your account pages. The Caledon strictly comply with the requirements laid down by the Data Protection Act 1998, and the Distance Selling Directives and are therefore obliged to ensure that your personal data is kept secure and up to date, and to respect your wishes. You may contact us at any time to request a copy of all data and information we hold on you as a customer. The Caledon uses the latest Secure Server Technology to ensure that all data submitted through our website is protected to the highest standards. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption is used to ensure that all credit card and transactional information is secure. You can tell when the web page your using is secure as the letters ‘https’ will replace ‘http’ in the browser address window. You will also notice a yellow padlock appear, either next to your browser address window or at the bottom of your browser window.
